Location:Located about 45 minutes from the city centre. DESCRIPTION: Luxurious, romantic and fun, designed to accentuate the impression that you are way out in the African Bush. Guests relax in wooden tree houses facing the distinctive knuckle-shaped Ngong Hills. NUMBER OF ROOMS: 7: There are 5 double-storied tree houses, with superb attention to detail and every comfort imaginable. One of the tree houses is lower and requires less climbing. In addition, there are 2 double-rooms located within the main house. Room amenities: - There are stained-glass windows, a fully-stocked bar, brass showerheads, comfy couches, kilims and saddle bags, hand-made furniture and lamps, telephones.
- The room décor and amenities in the main building are similar to those in the tree houses.
- Special feature: As an optional extra, guests at Ngong House may arrange for a transfer to and from the international airport by private helicopter.
FOOD & BEVERAGE FACILITIES: Lunch is served in the garden under one of the many indigenous trees. Dinner is served in a half open thatched rondavel with a huge fireplace and plenty of candles, creating this unique dinner atmosphere only found at Ngong House. Guests may choose to eat in their own rooms or to join other guests in the main dining room. RECREATION ACTIVITIES: - 2 swimming pools.
- Guests have use of the expansive (10 acre) grounds, which have been left to natural growth and indigenous flora and bird life.
- At night, guests arrive to campfire and safari chairs under a huge fever tree.
- The Giraffe Centre is only a 10 minute walk away.
- A four-wheel drive vehicle is available free to guests for travel further afield, e.g. Trips to the Nairobi National Parks, museums, local markets, shops and galleries can be arranged.
CLIMATE: Warm days average 24°C with cooler nights. June - July are colder months average 18°C and March - June have long rains while October - December short rains.
